#WatchItWednesday (01/02/2017)

Hello everyone! February is now here, not only is it the last month of Winter before Spring and the clocks go forward in March (yay!) but I am glad to wave goodbye to what seems to have been yet another terrible month for celebrity deaths. I know this sounds a little like me not keeping the faith, but after the year from Hell we had last year, losing famous celebrities such as Carrie Fisher, George Michael, Prince and more, it's really hard to keep optimistic that this one will be better. Yeah, I know, death is inevitable, but I feel everybody within reason should be entitled to live a happy and long life. I was going to write a 'January In Review' post, but I feel it would have been wayyy too negative and put some of you guys off from ever reading this blog again, so, I'm gonna totally abandon the month in review tag for now. 2017 has already robbed us of a few famous faces already: Sir John Hurt, Mary Tyler Moore and Geoff Nichols, former keyboard player from the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath (1987-1995). However, the year is still young, so I'm still going to give it a fair chance.

So with all that being said, to prove that the title is not clickbait, here is today's and the first #WatchItWednesday tag I'll be doing on this page, on Twitter and on UltraSpandauVox (it'll be a little bit different there of course). So today's video will be...

.
...Say Hello, Wave Goodbye by Soft Cell. Apart from Tainted Love and Torch, this is one of my favourite songs by the group, and one of the first ones that got me hooked on them in the first place! So Marc Almond, if you ever read this, I just wanted to let you know that I think you ROCK, your music ROCKS, and thank you ever so much for having a major influence on my life (make-up and fashion wise). Looking forward to the release of your new album! No prizes for guessing I named my blog after Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, which peaks at #3 in my personal Top 10 80's albums (spoiler alert for a future post).

Stay tuned this evening as I'll be showcasing my latest 80's LP haul. I'm really excited to share it with you, and I hope you like it too!

Till then, see you in the next post,
Sigourney
