A Poem For George Michael

Ever since George Michael's passing on Christmas Day last year, the tributes have been continually been flooding in, including poetry. I stumbled across a beautiful one that was posted in a Facebook group I'm part of recently and just wanted to share it with you guys. Enjoy

Eternal Soul

How did he die? It can't be true!
A soul so pure should see life through.
There is no life's plan, pre-ordained.
Just a trial of hope and experience gained.

A man who touched so many hearts,
Whose life and love, born from many parts.
Was taken too soon and left a hole,
In everyone's life, heart and soul.

His legacy and music will never age.
His life's story will remain on the same page.
A legend, loving, kind and caring.
Has left memories and music, forever sharing.

Don't mourn for his life,
His soul still lives.
Don't shed a tear,
His music still gives.

Celebrate his time,
Smile as you sing along.
Speak of him with a light heart,
Then George Michael will never be gone.
